The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was released 11/14/2003 by Martin Fallon with Mercenarie's Club as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com.
