Details
A vulnerability was found in vllm-project vLLM up to 0.27.x. It has been classified as critical. This affects some unknown processing of the file processing_llava_onevision2.py of the component LlavaOnevision2 processor loader. The manipulation of the argument trust_remote_code with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-94. The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
vLLM before 0.28.0 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the LlavaOnevision2 processor loader that ignores the trust_remote_code parameter when loading remote processor classes. Attackers can craft a malicious model with arbitrary code in processing_llava_onevision2.py that executes with vLLM process authority even when trust_remote_code is set to False.
