Multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in Joomla! before 1.5 RC4 allow remote attackers to (1) add a Super Admin, (2) upload an extension containing arbitrary PHP code, and (3) modify the configuration as administrators via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was disclosed 12/27/2007 as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-6642 since 01/03/2008. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
