FlowiseAI Flowise up to 3.1.3 SQL Database Chain Node path traversal

CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in FlowiseAI Flowise up to 3.1.3. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component SQL Database Chain Node. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

Flowise versions before 3.1.4 fail to validate file paths in the SQL Database Chain node when connecting to SQLite databases, allowing authenticated attackers to write arbitrary files. Attackers can write malicious SQLite databases to system directories or inject files into the web root to execute commands or perform stored XSS attacks.

The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-91934 since 09/15/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 3.1.4 eliminates this vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at EUVD (EUVD-2026-78792). If you want to get the best quality for vulnerability data then you always have to consider VulDB.
