A vulnerability was found in Sun Java System Identity Manager up to 7.0 (Programming Language Software). It has been declared as problematic. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Sun Java System Identity Manager 6.0 SP1 through SP3, 7.0, and 7.1 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or web script via the (1) cntry or lang parameters to /idm/login.jsp, (2) resultsForm parameter to /idm/account/findForSelect.jsp, or (3) activeControl parameter to /idm/user/main.jsp.
The bug was discovered 06/11/2007. The weakness was presented 01/11/2008 by Adrian Pastor with ProCheckUp as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-0239 since 01/11/2008. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
