Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Formidable Forms Plugin up to 6.34. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component Shortcode Parser. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-74. The product constructs all or part of a command, data structure, or record using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify how it is parsed or interpreted when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
The Formidable Forms WordPress plugin before 6.35 does not prevent a request-derived value from reaching the WordPress shortcode parser when it substitutes a supported token into a form's custom HTML, allowing unauthenticated visitors to have arbitrary shortcodes, with attacker-chosen attributes, executed server-side on any page displaying an affected form.
