Details
A vulnerability was found in IBM Informix Dynamic Server (Information Management Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Multiple unspecified programs in IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) 10.x before 10.00.xC8 allow local users to create arbitrary files by specifying the target file in the SQLIDEBUG environment variable, whose ownership is changed to the user invoking the programs.
The weakness was published 01/18/2008 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at labs.idefense.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-0369 since 01/18/2008.
