Details
A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 7.2.5. It has been rated as very critical. This issue affects the function mt76_switch_vif_chanctx of the component mt76. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a input validation vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-20. The product receives input or data, but it does
not validate or incorrectly validates that the input has the
properties that are required to process the data safely and
correctly. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: fix handling channel context with different bands in mt76_switch_vif_chanctx() When performing channel switches on different radios within a short timeframe, channel contexts with different bands can be carried for each struct ieee80211_vif_chanctx_switch. Rework mt76_switch_vif_chanctx() to properly handle this scenario.
