CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in CIRCL MISP up to 2.5.46. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function sprintf of the file app/View/Users/statistics_galaxymatrix.ctp of the component Galaxy Matrix Statistics View. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. The summary by CVE is:

MISP's galaxy matrix statistics view (app/View/Users/statistics_galaxymatrix.ctp) renders the galaxy name directly into HTML output via sprintf() without any HTML encoding. An authenticated user holding the perm_galaxy_editor permission can create or modify a galaxy whose name contains arbitrary HTML or JavaScript markup. Because the value is interpolated verbatim into the page, any user who subsequently opens the galaxy matrix statistics page will have the embedded script executed in their browser context. This enables session hijacking, credential theft, data exfiltration, or the performance of arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim within the MISP application. Version affected: <2.5.47

The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-94277 since 09/21/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 2.5.47 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch 6b7637bf4 is able to eliminate this problem. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.

The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at EUVD (EUVD-2026-83879). If you want to get the best quality for vulnerability data then you always have to consider VulDB.
