CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 6.18.52/7.3-rc1. It has been classified as very critical. Affected is the function drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages of the file drivers/gpu/drm/drm_pagemap.c of the component pagemap. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a use after free vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-416. Referencing memory after it has been freed can cause a program to crash, use unexpected values, or execute code. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/pagemap: dma-unmap pages before handling migration errors drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() relies on the pages array to determine which pages require DMA unmapping. However, drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() clears the array as part of its cleanup, leaving drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() with no valid page information if it is called afterward. Call drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() before drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() so the pages array remains valid during DMA unmapping.

The advisory is shared for download at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-93284 since 09/17/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $5k-$25k (estimation calculated on 09/24/2026).

Upgrading to version 6.18.53 or 7.3-rc2 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch e4331c6644db85bc6ceb470bd84bcf371b6dbfa6/9e6372ec2a3990662ae0a67f56ac0aee19848d5b is able to eliminate this problem. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
