A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in glpi-project Glpi up to 11.0.7. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Form Import. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. GLPI is a free asset and IT management software package. From 11.0.0 until 11.0.8, a form administrator can use Form import with a crafted illustration or scene identifier that traverses outside the intended custom-asset directory. The imported file can be written to an executable server location, allowing a malicious script to be invoked remotely. This issue is fixed in version 11.0.8.
