CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in PHP up to 8.2.33/8.3.34/8.4.25/8.5.10. Affected is the function cleanup_xml_node of the component SOAP XML Parser. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a recursion vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-674. The product does not properly control the amount of recursion that takes place, consuming excessive resources, such as allocated memory or the program stack. This is going to have an impact on availability. CVE summarizes:

cleanup_xml_node() in the SOAP XML parser recurses once per XML nesting level with no depth limit. An unauthenticated attacker can post a SOAP request containing tens of thousands of nested elements to any SoapServer endpoint, exhaust the stack and crash the process. The same unbounded recursion exists in the SOAP value decoder and in the WSDL node search helper.

The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-91765 since 09/15/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 09/25/2026). This vulnerability is assigned to T1499 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

Upgrading to version 8.2.34, 8.3.35, 8.4.26 or 8.5.11 eliminates this vulnerability.
