MySQL Server 5.1.x before 5.1.23 and 6.0.x before 6.0.4 does not check the rights of the entity executing BINLOG, which allows remote authorized users to execute arbitrary BINLOG statements.

The bug was discovered 10/15/2007. The weakness was published 10/15/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-6313 since 12/11/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. The successful exploitation requires a simple authentication.
