Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in dbgate up to 7.3.1. Affected by this issue is the function createLink of the file packages/api/src/controllers/archive.js of the component Archive Link Creation. The manipulation of the argument linkedFolder with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
