Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in n8n-io n8n up to 1.123.79/2.39.5/2.40.0. This affects an unknown functionality of the component Oracle Database Node. The manipulation of the argument table/schema with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
n8n versions before 1.123.80, from 2.0.0 before 2.39.6, and from 2.40.0 before 2.40.1 contain an SQL injection vulnerability in the Oracle Database node's Delete Table Drop operation. Attackers can inject single quotes in the table or schema fields to append arbitrary SQL statements and execute DDL or DML commands against the connected database with the credential's privileges.
The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-103253 since 09/30/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
