Details
A vulnerability was found in Schmooze App (version unknown) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a hard-coded credentials vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-798. The product contains hard-coded credentials, such as a password or cryptographic key, which it uses for its own inbound authentication, outbound communication to external components, or encryption of internal data. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
This vulnerability exists in the Schmooze app due to the use of hardcoded credentials and cryptographic keys in the client application. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by decompiling the distributed application package and extracting the embedded credentials and cryptographic keys. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to backend and cloud resources and forge client requests on the targeted system.
The advisory is shared for download at cert-in.org.in. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-85153 since 09/03/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 10/06/2026). The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1110.001.
