Details
A vulnerability was found in Payload CMS Payload up to 3.87.x and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component SQLite/Postgres Adapters. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. In versions from 3.0.0 before 3.88.0 and canary versions before 4.0.0-canary.27, an untrusted user who can query readable collections through dynamic filters or joins can submit a request that causes SQL injection in the SQLite and Postgres adapters. This issue is fixed in versions 3.88.0 and 4.0.0-canary.27.
The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-105845 since 10/06/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
