Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Red Hat Multicluster Global Hub (affected version not known). This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the file net/http/pprof of the component pprof. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-200. The product exposes sensitive information to an actor that is not explicitly authorized to have access to that information. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
A flaw was found in postgres-exporter. Due to the blank import of `net/http/pprof`, debug endpoints are exposed on the unauthenticated metrics listener. A remote attacker within the cluster network can access these endpoints. This allows for information disclosure, potentially revealing process arguments, full goroutine stacks, and sensitive data like database connection strings or passwords from heap dumps. Additionally, repeated CPU profiling through these endpoints can lead to a denial of service.
The advisory is shared for download at access.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-83550 since 08/31/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
