Details
A vulnerability was found in Docker Sandboxes up to 0.42.x. It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown functionality of the component Egress Proxy. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper authorization vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-285. The product does not perform or incorrectly performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Docker Sandboxes could forward a client-supplied credential alongside a credential injected by the host egress proxy. The proxy removed alternate credentials only when their values matched known sentinel values, so untrusted code in an authorized sandbox could supply an unrecognized credential in another supported authentication header. For affected upstream services, this could authenticate the request to an attacker-controlled account and expose data included in the request.
The advisory is shared for download at docs.docker.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-105452 since 10/05/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1548.002.
Upgrading to version 0.43.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
