A vulnerability was found in Apple Safari up to 3.0.4 (Web Browser). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Web Inspector. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in WebCore, as used in Apple Safari before 3.1, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unknown vectors related to the Web Inspector.
The bug was discovered 03/18/2008. The weakness was shared 03/18/2008 by Stanford University (Jack) with Stanford University (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at us-cert.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-1004 since 02/26/2008. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
