Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Jexactyl up to 4.0.4. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file /api/client/billing/free/process of the component Billing. The manipulation of the argument server_id with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-269. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Jexactyl is a customisable game management panel and billing system. From 4.0.0 until 4.0.5, the POST /api/client/billing/free/process endpoint accepts a client-controlled server_id and loads the server without restricting the lookup to servers owned by the authenticated account. On installations with billing enabled, an authenticated user can renew or unsuspend another tenant's billable server when its renewal_date is non-null and more than seven days away, even without a subuser relationship to that server. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.5.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-107854 since 10/09/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
Upgrading to version 4.0.5 eliminates this vulnerability.
