Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in CiviForm up to 3.32.x. Affected is the function showEditClientForm of the file /admin/tiDash/editClientForm of the component Trusted Intermediary. The manipulation of the argument accountId with an unknown input leads to a authorization vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-639. The system's authorization functionality does not prevent one user from gaining access to another user's data or record by modifying the key value identifying the data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
CiviForm simplifies applications for government benefits programs by reusing applicant data across multiple benefit applications. Prior to 3.33.0, GET /admin/tiDash/editClientForm/:accountId verifies that the requester is a Trusted Intermediary but showEditClientForm performs a raw lookupAccount(accountId) without confirming that the citizen account belongs to the requester's trustedIntermediaryGroup. An authenticated Trusted Intermediary can enumerate accountId values and read the applicant display name, including the citizen's name and email address, for accounts outside the intermediary's group. This issue is fixed in version 3.33.0.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-107856 since 10/09/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation requires an enhanced level of successful authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
