A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Exero Exero CMS 1.0.1 (Content Management System). This affects an unknown code of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument theme with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in the Default theme in Exero CMS 1.0.1 allow remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the theme parameter to (1) index.php, (2) editpassword.php, and (3) avatar.php in usercp/; (4) custompage.php; (5) errors/404.php; (6) memberslist.php and (7) profile.php in members/; (8) index.php and (9) fullview.php in news/; and (10) nopermission.php.
