A vulnerability was found in ZyXEL ZyNOS 3.40. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is some unknown processing of the file remmagsnmp.html. ZyXEL Prestige routers, including P-660, P-661, and P-662 models with firmware 3.40(AGD.2) through 3.40(AHQ.3), allow remote authenticated users to obtain authentication data by making direct HTTP requests and then reading the HTML source, as demonstrated by a request for (1) RemMagSNMP.html, which discloses SNMP communities; or (2) WLAN.html, which discloses WEP keys.
The weakness was disclosed 03/26/2008 by Adrian Pastor with ProCheckUp (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2008-1528 since 03/25/2008. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. Required for exploitation is a authentication.
