Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift Container Platform (the affected version is unknown). Affected by this vulnerability is the function getpeername of the component afunix-socket-unlock. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a integer underflow vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-191. The product subtracts one value from another, such that the result is less than the minimum allowable integer value, which produces a value that is not equal to the correct result. As an impact it is known to affect availability. The summary by CVE is:
A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-pkcs11-afunix-socket-unlock daemon crashes when an AF_UNIX client connects to the data socket without a bound address, due to an integer underflow in the getpeername result handling. This causes a denial of service, preventing LUKS disk decryption from completing during boot.
