Details
A vulnerability was found in Risesoft-y9 Digital-Infrastructure up to 9.6.11 and classified as critical. This issue affects the function storeFile of the file /rest/storeFile of the component File Manager. The manipulation of the argument fullPath/fileName with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Risesoft-y9 Digital-Infrastructure 9.6.5 through 9.6.11 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the fileManager storeFile endpoint that allows unauthenticated attackers to write arbitrary files. Attackers can send crafted fullPath and fileName parameters to POST /rest/storeFile to create or overwrite service-writable files, potentially achieving code execution.
The advisory is shared at hackmd.io. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-110116 since 10/13/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 10/13/2026). MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.
