CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability has been found in marcosschroh dataclasses-avroschema up to 0.70.5 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function EnumRepresentation.render_symbols of the component Enum Generation. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-74. The product constructs all or part of a command, data structure, or record using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify how it is parsed or interpreted when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.38.0 through 0.70.5, BaseGenerator.parse_enum and EnumRepresentation.render_symbols use each schema-controlled enum symbol as a generated enum member name after case conversion but without validating it as an identifier. When generator classes are used directly, newlines and punctuation can inject constrained statements into the generated enum class body, allowing namespace modification or preventing the module from loading. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by validating every enum symbol as a name.

It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-108385 since 10/09/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely.
