A vulnerability was found in Easy Software Products CUPS 1.3.6 (Printing Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function gif_read_lzw. Buffer overflow in the gif_read_lzw function in CUPS 1.3.6 allows remote attackers to have an unknown impact via a GIF file with a large code_size value, a similar issue to CVE-2006-4484.
The bug was discovered 03/20/2008. The weakness was published 04/03/2008 by Tomas Hoger (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cups.org.
