Details
A vulnerability was found in Adobe C2PA Tool, Content Credentials JS SDK and Content Credentials Rust SDK (version now known). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is integrity. The summary by CVE is:

An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to write to unauthorized files or directories outside of intended restrictions. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must extract a maliciously crafted file.
