A vulnerability was found in Verified Reviews Plugin up to 2.4.6. It has been classified as problematic. This affects the function ntav_check_data. The manipulation of the argument moderation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. This is going to have an impact on integrity. The summary by CVE is:
The Verified Reviews (Avis Vérifiés) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'moderation' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The authentication bypass is possible because ntav_check_data() uses loose != comparisons for signature verification, allowing a JSON body with boolean true values for idWebsite and sign to pass all checks on any configured installation.
