Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in DataEase up to 2.10.25. This affects some unknown processing of the component DatasetTableFieldDTO. The manipulation of the argument dateFormat with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

DataEase is an open source data visualization and analysis tool. Prior to 2.10.26, authenticated users can store a crafted custom dateFormat for a dataset field. DatasetTableFieldDTO.dateFormat is inserted without validation into date conversion templates used by Dimension2SQLObj, CustomWhere2Str, Field2SQLObj, WhereTree2Str, and ExtWhere2Str. When a chart renders the field on a cross-datasource dataset, Calcite parsing is bypassed and the crafted format can directly alter the generated SQL. On a single-datasource dataset, exploitation additionally requires the payload to survive Calcite reserialization as a valid string literal. Successful exploitation can compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the backend database. This issue is fixed in version 2.10.26.

The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-104143 since 10/01/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 2.10.26 eliminates this vulnerability.
