Details
A vulnerability was found in SODOLA SL902-SWTGW124AS up to 200.2.12 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component Multipart/Form-Data Boundary Parser. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a buffer overflow vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-120. The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:
SODOLA SL902-SWTGW124AS firmware before 200.2.12 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending an oversized boundary value in the Content-Type header of a crafted POST request. Attackers can exploit the embedded HTTP server's multipart/form-data boundary parser to cause the device to become fully unresponsive — dropping all management access and traffic forwarding during its self-recovery cycle.
The advisory is shared at hml.io. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-0993 since 01/15/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
