Details
A vulnerability classified as very critical has been found in Red Hat Connectivity Link 1 and OpenShift AI (affected version not known). This affects some unknown functionality of the component WebAssembly Shim. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a escape output vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-116. The product prepares a structured message for communication with another component, but encoding or escaping of the data is either missing or done incorrectly. As a result, the intended structure of the message is not preserved. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
A flaw was found in the internal WebAssembly (WASM) shim used by the Kuadrant operator. When generating the CEL predicate that determines whether Gateway-level authentication and rate limiting should run, the shim does not correctly escape values from HTTPRoute match fields. A user who can create or modify an HTTPRoute attached to a shared Gateway can provide a crafted path, header, or query match value that causes the predicate to skip those checks. The request is still forwarded to the route’s backend.
The advisory is shared at access.redhat.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-108334 since 10/09/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 10/15/2026).
