Details
A vulnerability was found in affiliate-toolkit Plugin up to 3.8.8. It has been classified as critical. This affects some unknown processing. The manipulation of the argument sort with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The affiliate-toolkit WordPress plugin before 3.8.9 does not validate a user-supplied sort value against an allowlist before using it in a database query, and the affected administrative list screen requires only a lower-privilege capability rather than an administrator one, so users with editor-level access and above can perform SQL injection and read arbitrary information from the database. On multisite a sub-site editor can read the network-global users table, including the super administrator's password hash.
The advisory is shared at wpscan.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-110179 since 10/13/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
