Details
A vulnerability was found in CodeWithCJ SparkyFitness up to 1.5.x. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is some unknown functionality of the file api/admin/backup/restore of the component Backup/Restore. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
SparkyFitness is a self-hosted, AI-powered health and fitness tracker for families. Prior to 1.6.0, the api/admin/backup/restore endpoint interpolates an uploaded filename into a shell command. An authenticated global administrator uploads a restore archive with a crafted filename. The administrator can supply a restore archive with a filename containing shell metacharacters. Successful exploitation can execute arbitrary operating-system commands with the server process privileges. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.
