ApostropheCMS up to 4.32.x Locales information disclosure

CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in ApostropheCMS up to 4.32.x. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Locales. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-200. The product exposes sensitive information to an actor that is not explicitly authorized to have access to that information. Impacted is confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:

ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0, the REST route GET /api/v1/<piece-type>/:_id/locales (and the equivalent page route) does not apply the publicApiCheckAsync gate that ApostropheCMS's other read routes enforce. An unauthenticated caller can therefore query this route for any document _id and learn whether the document exists and which locales it is published in — a document-existence and locale-metadata disclosure that the read-API is otherwise supposed to gate. This issue is fixed in version 4.33.0.

The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-113668 since 10/20/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 4.33.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
