Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in WSO2 API Manager, Carbon User Management UI, Enterprise Integrator, Identity Server, Identity Server as Key Manager, Open Banking AM and Open Banking IAM. This affects an unknown function of the component Authentication Endpoint. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. This is going to have an impact on integrity. The summary by CVE is:
The Authentication Endpoint accepts user-supplied input without sufficient encoding, allowing for the injection of malicious JavaScript payloads. This vulnerability can be triggered by submitting crafted input to the Authentication Endpoint. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to redirect the user's browser to a malicious website, modify the web page's user interface, or extract sensitive information from the browser. However, due to the `httpOnly` flag on session-related cookies, session hijacking is not possible.
