Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in WPDeveloper NotificationX Plugin up to 2.3.11. Affected is an unknown code block of the file /wp-json/notificationx/v1/notification. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
NotificationX plugin for WordPress 2.0.0 before 2.3.12 contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries by supplying an array-form 'id' parameter to /wp-json/notificationx/v1/notification/{id}. Attackers can pass id[1] with crafted SQL, such as time-based SLEEP payloads, along with an api_key derived from md5(home_url()), which flows unsanitized into Database::get_where_query to extract database contents. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-18.
