A vulnerability has been found in EntertainmentScript 1.4.0 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file page.php. The manipulation of the argument page with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in page.php in EntertainmentScript 1.4.0 allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the page parameter.

The weakness was presented 05/27/2008 by ERRor (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-2459 since 05/27/2008. The attack can be initiated remotely.
