Details
A vulnerability has been found in Kiloview E3 up to 1.29 and classified as very critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the component Network Management Service. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The network management service on affected Kiloview E3 NDI encoder firmware fails to validate the network interface name accepted by its link maintenance address configuration endpoint before passing it to a shell command, unlike sibling handlers that perform the same validation. An authenticated web user with permission to configure network settings can exploit this to execute arbitrary operating system commands as root.
The advisory is shared at kiloview.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-110243 since 10/19/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely.
