Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (version now known). Affected is some unknown processing of the component iscsiuio. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. This is going to have an impact on integrity. CVE summarizes:

A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi. The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handler accesses link-layer address options at a fixed offset without verifying the packet contains them. Additionally, the ARP table is updated unconditionally with attacker-controlled addresses from the packet headers. An attacker on the same network segment can send a minimal Neighbor Advertisement to poison the ARP table and redirect network traffic.

The advisory is available at access.redhat.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-115486 since 10/22/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
