Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Apache SIS up to 1.6.0. This affects an unknown code of the component Sql Storage Module. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Vulnerability in the SQL storage module of Apache SIS. When sorting a stream of features, the clause is copied after ORDER BY without quoting the identifier character. A crafter sort clause could inject SQL in the query. This issue affects the sql-storage module of Apache SIS from version 1.0 through 1.6 inclusive. Other modules such as sis-referencing are not impacted. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.7, which fixes the issue.
