A vulnerability was found in Php-address Book up to 3.3.18 (Programming Language Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code of the file view.php of the component Address Book. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in PHP Address Book 3.1.5 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the id parameter to (1) view.php and (2) edit.php. NOTE: it was later reported that 4.0.x is also affected.

The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
