Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Openpanel-dev OpenPanel up to 2.x. Affected is an unknown part. The manipulation of the argument projectId with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
OpenPanel before 3.0.0 contains an unauthenticated ClickHouse sql injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to inject SQL through the projectId parameter of the /live/visitors/:projectId WebSocket, which lacks session and project-access checks. Attackers can use UNION or boolean count oracles to read other tenants' events and profiles, and project members can similarly inject via the cohort.preview timeframe values.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-116818 since 10/26/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
