Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in esaqa Psono up to 7.2.3. This vulnerability affects an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a server-side request forgery vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-918. The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Psono Server CE && EE versions 0.1.0 through 7.2.3 accepted a user-controlled host when configuring a personal Duo device and passed it to the Duo client without an allowlist or explicit timeout. An authenticated remote attacker could cause the server to connect to selected hosts over HTTPS on port 443 and distinguish failure modes, providing an internal DNS and service-reachability oracle. Connections still required TLS certificate validation, and the flaw did not provide arbitrary protocol or port access. Unresponsive targets could also occupy a server worker until the operating-system timeout.
The advisory is available at gitlab.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-117471 since 10/27/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
Upgrading to version 7.2.4 eliminates this vulnerability.
