Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in OpenBSD LibreSSL up to 4.4.0. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function OCSP_sendreq_new/OCSP_parse_url. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a crlf injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-93. The product uses CRLF (carriage return line feeds) as a special element, e.g. to separate lines or records, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes CRLF sequences from inputs. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. CVE summarizes:

LibreSSL through 4.4.0 contains a CRLF injection vulnerability in the libcrypto OCSP_sendreq_new() and OCSP_parse_url() functions, which write unvalidated request paths into the OCSP POST request line. Attackers can embed carriage return and line feed characters in a certificate's Authority Information Access OCSP URI to inject HTTP headers or split requests sent to responders and proxies.
