A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Glub Secure FTP up to 2.5.14. Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the FTP client in Glub Tech Secure FTP before 2.5.16 on Windows allows remote FTP servers to create or overwrite arbitrary files via a ..\ (dot dot backslash) in a response to a LIST command, a related issue to CVE-2002-1345.
