Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in parse-community parse-server up to 8.6.107/9.10.5-alpha.8. Affected is an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a prototype pollution vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-1321. The product receives input from an upstream component that specifies attributes that are to be initialized or updated in an object, but it does not properly control modifications of attributes of the object prototype. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Parse Server before 8.6.108 and 9.0.0 before 9.10.5-alpha.9 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability because user-controlled keys are expanded into objects without own-property checks. Clients with class write access can send dot notation field keys or ACL entry names matching built-in object members to corrupt built-in functions, causing all requests to fail until server restart.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-119569 since 10/30/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.
