Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in FlowiseAI Flowise up to 3.1.4. Affected is an unknown functionality of the file packages/components/src/utils.ts of the component LocalFileStore. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Flowise through 3.1.4 contains a sandbox escape vulnerability that allows authenticated users to execute OS commands by abusing allowlisted langchain and mammoth modules when ALLOW_BUILTIN_DEP=true. Attackers can submit JavaScript to /api/v1/node-custom-function that writes a file into the mammoth package via LocalFileStore and requires it, escaping vm2 as the Flowise process user.
