Details
A vulnerability was found in Woobewoo Product Filter for WooCommerce by WBW Plugin up to 3.4.6. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function getVar of the component Setting Handler. The manipulation of the argument wpf_fid with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. The summary by CVE is:
The Product Filter for WooCommerce by WBW plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'wpf_fid' JSON Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.4.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability persists in versions that received the 3.4.3 patch because absint() was applied only to the getVar() read path, leaving the wpf_fid value read from the JSON-decoded filterSettings payload entirely unsanitized.
